WHO WE ARE
Student Life Movement is the student ministry of the Great Commission Movement of Nigeria.The Nigerian ministry of the Campus Crusade for Christ International, an international inter-denominational missionary organisation founded in 1951 on the campus of university of California,Los Angeles,U.S.A.
Student Life Movement was brought to Nigeria in 1969 by Rev. Yemi Ladipo and his wife Sue.They started on the campus of University of Lagos,Akoka.
Today Student Life Movement exists in more than 2000 campuses across the globe,about 30 of which are in Nigeria, inluding Obafemi Awolowo University,Ile-Ife.
WHAT WE DO
As a christian movement our emphases are EVANGELISM , DISCIPLESHIP,YOUTH LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT AND ECONOMIC EMPOWERMENT.
Our purpose is to WIN men and women to Christ ,BUILD them in their faith [knowledge and total dependence on God ],TRAIN them in evangelism skills and how to's of disciple-making and SEND them to help win, build ,train and send others thereby reaching the campus communities and the whole world with the message of God's love & forgiveness.

OUR MEETINGS.
VISION CASTING: Contacts committed to the movement are gathered at the GCMN Office and shown Video clips of what the Ministry is all about and involved in.The Staff and the Core Group interact with them, they are therefore able to understand the Ministry better.
NIGHT ALIVE: On Tuesday Evenings, Staff and Students gather to interact with invited guests (mainly Christian Lecturers and Pastors) on issues affecting Students on Campus and the world at large.
EVANGELISM BLITZ:Staff and Core Group (and Committed Contacts) meet to share their faith mainly at the First-year Students Halls of residence - named Angola(male) and Mozambique(female) Halls on Mondays by 6.00pm.
BIBLE STUDY:Staff and Core Group (and some others) meet with their various Contacts in their rooms and take them through Follow-up and other lessons.
We are also concerned about helping students to become all that God wants them to become in every area of their lives.[ physical ,social, mental & spiritual].We conduct powerful seminars on YOUTH LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT & ECONOMIC EMPOWERMENT .There are opportunity for training,caring,sharing,fellowship and friendship through our weekly small group discipleship,weekly meetings,retreats,local and international conferences and social events.Also, unique short term mission projects are available in Nigeria and other countries.
